The RDRP program commences in Queensland. Five regions participate in the pilot round:

Nine additional regions commence RDRP

Five pilot regions publish RDRPs
RDRPs from pilot regions approved and published.

Implementation Phase 1 commences
Regions are funded for Implementation Officers and identified priority activities.
Dec 2025
Nine regions finalise their RDRPs
All 14 regions in QLD have a published RDR Plan

Implementation Phase 2 opens
Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority scheme opens
Aug 2026
Implementation Phase 2 Round 1 commences
Regions apply for remuneration grants (Round 1). Rolling application rounds continue 2026-2029.
Nov 2026
Implementation Phase 1 activities complete
Phase 1 activities complete by 30 Nov 2026.
Feb 2027
Implementation Phase 1 acquittal complete
Phase 1 acquittal complete by 26 Feb 2027.
